Does Your Child Have Sleeping Challenges?
Sometimes children that are both highly intelligent and highly sensitive often have difficulty sleeping off and on in early years as well as in high school and up through college years.
We need to teach a child a routine and things to do that are restful even when not able to sleep. Play a CD of soft music or the sound of a brook, bird songs, etc.
Stay with your child for a short period of time to get them comfortable. You could do yoga on the bedroom floor while your child closes their eyes and tries to sleep.
Eventually, you will want your child to rely on their own strategies. The more independent they become in their sleep hygiene routine, the better off they will become as they grow older.
